Emerging Scottish talents Misty Galactic and Vagrant Real Estate team up on dark pop track “Holy Places”
Although there’s a plethora of amazing emerging artists up north in Scotland, at times it feels as though as we down here in the South don’t show them enough love and support. We need to change that. Edinburgh-based singer-songwriter Misty Galactic is an artist we’ve featured before, but despite consistently releasing captivating singles, she’s still remains unknown.
She’s linked up with one of Scotland’s rising DJ’s and producer Vagrant Real Estate on new single “Holy Places”, another dark pop track which reminds us of artists such as BANKS and Lana Del Rey but with a darker twist. The song details intense feelings of lust and obsession akin to almost religious hysteria.
“It was awesome to get to work with Vagrant Real Estate on this release. The lyrics are all about being so obsessed with someone and having such intense feelings, it all starts to feel like a religious experience. I’d been playing around with them for quite a while, and when he sent me the initial idea for a track, everything just seemed to fit together perfectly.
