Wesley Joseph Drops New Single “Martyrs”, Accompanied By Self-Directed Music Video

One of the most exciting emerging acts around Wesley Joseph has unveiled his new single “Martyrs” featuring Monks, accompanied by a self-directed music video.

23 year-old artist Wesley Joseph burst on to the scene with the excellent debut single “Imaginary Friends” at the beginning of April and received appreciation from respected outlets such as i-D, DUMMY and The Line of Best Fit. His new single “Martyrs” is another solid effort which showcases his dynamic songwriting and thought-provoking visuals, which is a powerful film that considers the universal feeling of loss through a magic realism-filter. Featured act Monks delivers a powerful verse that will resonate with many listeners out there.

“I made the ‘Martyrs’ beat one late night in my old bedroom in South London when I first moved here. I remember playing it in my headphones, standing in the back garden with the sun coming up, my hairs standing on end, feeling like it was going to be something special. A couple days later my old friend from back home, Monks, who was also living in London, came round to work on some music. I played the beat for him and instantly he brought energy into the room; we were bouncing off each other rapidly and the spirit was alive” — Wesley Joseph.

Wesley Joseph is a refreshing new act who will eventually become one of the best in the UK and the rest of the world if he continues delivering captivating music with visually-striking music videos. This is a legend in the making. Press play.
