Belgian dark R&B artist Wavey Vayn releases new single “Company”
If you Google ‘dark R&B’, you’ll probably find a quote I wrote a few years ago. Although the subgenre is currently on its last legs as most artists develop or try new sounds, there’s still a dozen talented artists keeping it alive. One of them is 23 year-old Belgian artist Wavey Vayn.
Known for his distinctive flow and sound, as well as his ability to blend R&B and soul with storytelling and hip-hop influences, the emerging artist has been quietly generating traction with impressive releases such as “Dead Man Walking” and “Stress”.
Today, he’s released his latest single “Company”, taken from his forthcoming EP Midnight Sadness. It’s a solid dark R&B track— it has the moody production we love, the late night vibe and emotionally-charged lyrics that listeners will be able to connect with. Keep your eyes on this young man.
