It’s been a year since we relaunched our new blog after our old site sadly went down. We’ve received over 3,000 submissions in just under a year, but our preference has always been to discover new music ourselves and share it with you. 2019 has been another great year for both unsigned and emerging artists in terms of the quality of music they have released.
We don’t look at an artists/bands social numbers or the amount of streams their songs have achieved, what matters the most (and should always do), is the quality of the song and its impact on us. We tend to favour emotionally-driven songs that have replay value, for instance last years top song “Better” by London-based singer-songwriter Glorynade had us singing in our showers ‘I deserve better‘, because, you know, we all do deserve better — and she sang it so beautifully.
