Rising alt-pop artist Tonia releases new single “Cut the Cloth, Didn’t I”

Liverpool’s own Tonia is making serious waves, carving out a space in the city’s thriving music scene. With live slots locked in for BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Liverpool Sound City, and more, 2025 is already shaping up to be a defining year the rising alt-pop artist.

Today, she makes her DNü debut with “Cut the Cloth, Didn’t I” — a soulful offering that captures the slow, bittersweet unraveling of a once close and important relationship. Crafted alongside London-based producer and close collaborator Sfven, the track balances vulnerability with rich, immersive production—an emotionally-charged listen that lingers long after it ends.

“It’s about coming to terms with the reality that sometimes relationships in your life naturally end and it’s ok to let them go. Realising that you don’t have to lose parts of yourself for someone else, and understanding that you can’t force things, or people, to stay together.”Tonia.
