tmdistant releases new single “patience is hard to come across”
Emerging Essex, UK-based genre-defying artist tmdistant takes listeners deeper into his world with his new single “patience is hard to come across”. Co-produced with Song Higginson, the track is both raw and vibrant— a wonderful showcase for his angst-ridden vocals, which flow smoothly over the hard-hitting guitar-infused production with hyperpop textures.
Overall, it’s laced with infectious melodies paired with emotionally-driven lyrics written from the perspective of someone who has learned patience but frequently feels that it would never be reciprocated from their partner.
“This song is about me finding that patience to stay and wait for someone, be there for someone even when sometimes I might not want to be there. I was, and always have been a caretaker or a helper for others, even a therapist, and some of us always will be. I know a lot of people know what this is like.” — tmdistant.
tmdistant takes centre stage at Servant Jazz Quarters with his band in Dalston, London on 1st June. Grab your tickets here.
