tmdistant — jenna (too perfect)

tmdistant releases empowering new single “jenna (too perfect)”

21-year-old alternative sensation tmdistant has unleashed another powerful anthem with his latest single “jenna (too perfect)”, accompanied by a stunning music video shot by primero. The track cleverly uses Jenna Ortega as a symbol of strength and empowerment — crafting a narrative that celebrates the confidence and resilience of women and girls.

With its infectious pop-punk energy and punchy guitar riffs, the track is full of uplifting lyrics— encouraging self-belief and defiance against societal expectations, making it a truly empowering anthem.

“This song is all about empowerment. You’re perfect just how you are. Social media always gives us a false sense of what perfect is, how women should be, how men should be, but at the end of the day we’re all perfect as we are individually and I love how Jenna Ortega is so unapologetically herself so I couldn’t help myself but to write a song about her while also talking about us all at the same time. I think she’s such a beautiful person and it reminded me of all the beautiful people who let their light be tainted by the ideas of society but instead we should all love ourselves for who we are no matter what others are saying or what the internet says. So many beautiful women don’t believe they’re enough or don’t believe in themselves that they’re truly beautiful so I wanted to make something to talk to them and let it be known that they’re too perfect just the way they are no matter what people say or think. I think about it a lot so it was only right to turn those thoughts into a song”. — tmdistant
