“As a black man, I am constantly boxed in by society or people. This song was me saying everything I needed to get off my chest before it all made me collapse and in the end, it got me. 2023 I was stuck in a hole of disbelief in myself and my work regardless of how hard I worked on it. I’m turning that around in 2024. It all starts with “got a lot on my chest.” — tmdistant.
