tiLLie shares stunning new single “Hell Yeah!”
Emerging artist tiLLie caught our attention a few months ago with the excellent “Peachie”, and she’s back with her best release thus far “Hell Yeah!”. In a world of climate disasters, financial uncertainty and social unrest, the song inspired by the likes of Blur, The Prodigy and old UK Garage music, celebrates the little wins while keeping it all in perspective. With its energetic vibe and its relatable topic, “Hell Yeah!” is a fantastic alternative rock song with pop and electronic elements— tiLLie delivers a stunning vocal performance, and an infectiously catchy hook that will more than likely get stuck in your head.
“Lyrically, “Hell Yeah!” touches on the frustration I think a lot of my friends and I have been feeling. We’re in our 20s – we’re suppose to be outside fucking shit up, living our lives, and everything going on in the world has forced us inside. It speaks to how the pandemic simplified the ways in which I gauged whether or not I had a good day – did I make it through without having a mental break down and am I still alive? Which is equally humbling and incredibly depressing so I channeled all those paradoxical feelings and pent up energy into this song” — tiLLie.
