Emerging artist Sophomooreik unveils visuals for “Knuckles”, taken from his new EP EASYAS…[self indulgence].
Hailing from North West London, 22 year-old artist Sophomooreik is one of the most underrated rappers in a city that has been overlooking alternative rappers since drill took over the music scene. His debut EP EASYAS…[self indulgence is a collection 7 tracks documenting the highs and lows of an emerging artist working to gain recognition. Standout track “Knuckles” is built over a trap-infused production and features an infectious vocal melody with dark undertones.
“The EP is a parable which takes you through the stages of an artist obtaining fame and the things that come from that. There are certain things I address which I have been through personally and overall each song represents a mind state that I have been in at one point or another. It goes through the sins as well as the redemption and as an artist I feel like it’s important to show both sides of your story, no matter how dark it gets” — Sophomooreik.
