Australian rising star SLOE JACK unleashes new single “BRAIN ROT”
If we keep it 98+2, 100 (quick maths), mainstream music is pretty dead right now. Everything sounds the same. Everyone sounds the same. It’s just so boring and uninteresting.
But if you’re a weirdo like us and delve into the underground scenes around the world then you’ll find talented artists with immense potential like Australian rising star SLOE JACK. Although the singer, songwriter and producer born Jack Mark Garritty who grew up in a small country town in Australia has a finger-in-the-middle attitude reminiscent of early Eminem and Fred Durst, his SLOE DOWN videos show his warm personality and passion as an artist.
He showcases pure passion and grit on his latest offering “BRAIN ROT”— a stunning track which effortlessly combines punk-rock and electronic with sprinkles of rap to create a powerful an anthemic track that will champion the voiceless and forgotten in today’s society. This is also the sort of track that would get London music venues like the Underworld and the Camden Assembly buzzing with so much energy.
“I was inspired to write this song after witnessing the state of today’s youth culture. The modern world has left the kids lost and afraid to stand up for what they believe in, promoting weakness and low self-esteem. I wrote BRAIN ROT to disrupt that mode of thinking and instead conjure strength and vitality. I wanted to remind the listener that they are capable and mighty.” — SLOE JACK.
