Edinburgh-based R&B artist SHIKA shares new single “Pisces Girl”.
Influenced by artists such as Banks, Kali Uchis, Frank Ocean and Khrungabin, the self-taught musician SHIKA combines multiple genres such as lo-fi, R&B and alternative hip-hop to create her own unique sound. On her latest single “Pisces Girl”, she delivers an alluring vocal performance over the breezy lo-fi production she produced, as she sings about feeling lonely and lost— a relatable subject for those of us going through lockdown alone, hoping it will be eased just in time for Pisces season. The single is accompanied by visuals she also directed and edited— they were inspired by the coast of a small beach town in Australia where she lived for a couple of years.
