Shaker Releases Four Track EP ‘Leave’

One of our favourite finds of 2019 has finally released his debut EP Leave. The four track project is the beginning of something special.

Ever since we stumbled on Shaker’s excellent single “In The Dark” last year, we’ve been following his career closely. The 21-year old New York-based singer-songwriter originates from Dubai, UAE and moved to the United States with the drive and passion to design a better future for him and his family.

His long awaited first project Leave comes after releasing a plethora of well-received and breathtaking singles in 2019 that has helped him build a loyal fan base around the world. The EP opens up with the lead single “Hold You Down”, which was released towards the end of November 2019. It’s a familiar song that fans will recognise and new fans will love, however the following the three tracks are what makes Shaker one of the best emerging artists around today.

Infusing hip-hop and R&B to create his own unique sound that could be compared to the likes of Always Never, Darci and even The Weeknd, he shines on the flawless and catchy “Easy”. On “Leave” he showcases his penmanship over a brilliant production, and the standout track “Alone” is an emotionally-driven track that will instantly connect with you. Throughout the project, we are blessed with Shaker’s alluring and captivating vocals, and his ability to craft a melodic R&B track without delving into the world of tiresome mainstream songs that we often hear.

According to Shaker, all the songs on the project are dedicated to one girl, they describe the push and pull dynamic of a relationship. With an impressive debut EP under his belt, Shaker has started 2020 on a high and we’re expecting this to be his breakthrough year.
