Emerging artist Natalie returns with new single “Skins”.
Never let an artists streaming numbers or the amount of followers they have on socials define their quality as an artist or as a producer— Natalie is one of the most criminally slept on artists within the alternative and dark R&B world. She made her mark back in 2018 with her debut EP Shameful, which garnered attention from respected outlets such as Lyrical Lemonade, EARMILK and HillyDilly (now Before the Data). Having been extremely disillusioned with the idea of celebrity and pop culture during the Covid-19 quarantine, she spent most of her time alone in her apartment where she felt everything started to feel fake, this feeling inspired her to create her latest single “Skins”— her first release in just over a year. She exudes confidence throughout with a passionate vocal performance as she sings about paranoia and fame worship over a moody self-produced trap beat. A stunning return to form, and we hope she drops more music this year.
