London-based singer-songwriter Lucy DK shares new single “Queen Bed.“
Based in South East London, singer-songwriter Lucy DK returns with the upbeat and tongue-in-cheek anthem “Queen Bed.” Built over a gorgeous production and written during her battle with depression, “Queen Bed” is a reminder that black women’s mental health is also important and that they are deserving of grace and empathy. Beautifully-written and well-sung, she delivers a passionate vocal performance— there’s this also this empowering vibe throughout the song. Highly rated and well traveled, she grew up in Leicestershire with her mum and older sister, at the age of 17 she moved to Nashville after winning a scholarship, at 21 she moved to New York where she released her debut project and now she’s based in London.
