Keeper teams up with tmdistant on new single “I Dont Even Know Myself”
After selling out their London gig just over a month ago, emerging alternative talents Keeper and tmdistant team up, and dive into the hyperpop space while remaining true to their punk and emo sounds on their collaboration, “I Dont Even Know Myself”.
Accompanied by a fun music video shot by Sorin D. Visuals, the track has a deeper meaning that will resonate with listeners. Both acts deliver brilliant vocals over a hard-hitting production by Jon Cass to create a heart wrenching mosh-pit worthy track. Lyrically, they explore a toxic relationship where both parties are not sure if they want to stay or leave, whether they despise or adore the individual.
“I think we conveyed that quite well in the lyrics. Sure, the chorus is a little random. The bang bang doesn’t make sense, but it sounds cool. That’s most of the battle. But, ignoring that, I feel like the lyrics were pretty representative of the ideas and themes we were trying to convey. Music Video wise….It’s a skit. Just wanted to do something different, something funny.It kinda reminds me of old-school black-and-white films. Like Charlie Chaplin’s sort of style. Just good old-fashioned slapstick humour.” — Keeper.
