Promising Toronto-based newcomer Kadiri unveils slick new single “Introductions”.
Known for blending his honeyed croon with dark instrumentation that touch on subjects such as mental health, lost love and intimacy, Toronto-based singer-songwriter Kadiri is inspired by the likes of Majid Jordan and early era Justin Timberlake, and creates captivating R&B music with global appeal. His new single “Introductions” was written in Los Angeles, and is about the early stages of a relationship where he’s getting to know someone and slowly falling in love with them. However, it’s their love for music, as well as, importantly, their similarities in musical taste which sets their love ablaze. With its slick R&B grooves throughout and his breathtaking vocal performance, “Introductions” is the most impressive song we’ve heard so far this year, and could be the song that helps him gain the traction he deserves. If you’re a fan of artists such as Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, Gallant and Blood Orange, you’re going to love this young man.
