“If you listen closely to the lyrics, you will notice it is a whole dialogue back and forth – an exchange from one person’s life to the other’s. & it’s all real – I actually moved from Indiana to LA, she’s in the Midwest (aka East Coast as the song would say). It’s also about authentically loving someone for who they are. That’s exactly what the relationship with this girl was. Call it puppy love or my first love, but it was the first time I had a person give me a glimpse at caring for someone for who they are on both the outside and in.
