It’s always refreshing discovering a French artist who sings in English, especially an emerging artist. Paris-based TENNIN has already attracted media coverage from the likes of Afropunk, EARMILK and Les Inrocks. Known for experimenting sounds, she’s one of those unique artists you don’t place in a specific genre.
Her brand new single “One of Us” is both interesting and eclectic to say the least. It’s an infusion of World Music, Afrobeats, Electronic Pop and a hint of Contemporary R&B reminiscent of British artist MIA. Overall, TENNIN has an intriguing sound that will open more doors for her and I’m here for it.
