Swedish rising star Cimón releases explosive R&B infused banger “MAE — Money Ain’t Everything”, taken from his forthcoming debut EP.
It’s a known fact that artists from the Scandinavian region make some of the best pop music on the planet, at times those songs; despite their catchiness often sound alike —however rising star Cimón has unveiled an explosive single unlike anything you’ve heard come out of that region.
As he mentions on the song, he started off in a boyband and last year he made a mark worldwide with his well-received debut single “Final Destination”, which has amassed over 3 million streams on Spotify alone. A fantastic achievement for an artist who decided to head in the urban direction infusing both hip-hop and R&B to create music with a universal appeal.
His latest single “MAE — Money Ain’t Everything” is built over hard hitting drums and blends R&B with undertones of pop and rock influences. With an infectious and melodic singing throughout over the guitar-infused production handled by Gino Nano at the fore, it’s pretty evident that Cimón is an artist with immense talent and limitless potential. Play this out loud.
“This song is about letting people know that money ain’t everything. I feel like people nowadays tend to forget things in life that has so much more value than paper. I’ve always wanted to pull in the urban direction, towards hip-hop and R&B. However, lyrics that are full of bullshit, saying that you have a fat gold chain or a hundred girls, have never interested me. My drive comes from my need to constantly create and develop in my music as an artist” — Cimón.
