CHAR Bares Her Soul On Debut Single “Control”

Berkshire born and now London-based singer-songwriter CHAR’s music delves into her personal struggles with mental health and exists on a sliding scale between strength and vulnerability, in a self-reflective tone. Her debut single “Control” — produced by legendary British rapper Roots Manuva, is an emotionally-driven record that many listeners would be able to relate to. She bares her soul over the dynamic production, and delivers a heart-warming vocal performance.

The inspiration for the lyrics come from CHAR’s personal experiences, which she also expresses through her work as the co-founder of the non-profit mental health organisation Mad Millennials. It’s an appealing track that showcases her potential as she seamlessly infuses R&B and electronic music. Her debut EP First Five Fix consisting of 5 tracks is expected to drop in 2020.
