Trailblazing rising start carolesdaughter drops new single “please put me in a medically induced coma”, accompanied by music video.
carolesdaughter (aka Thea Taylor) is a once-in-a-generation music artist who has already been praised by V Magazine as spearheading the next generation of alt-pop music. Despite being only 18 years-old, she sounds like a seasoned vet. We fell in love with her single “Violent” earlier in the year, and her latest offering “please put me in a medically induced coma” really showcases her immense potential.
The song as well as the music video directed by Anastasia Lebedeva Delmark explores her experiences with mental health, and the ways in which she is sometimes able, or unable to cope. It’s a catchy song with an anthemic chorus and relatable lyrics built over an energetic rock-infused production that will sound amazing live. Check out her upcoming gigs here.
“’please put me in a medically induced coma’ was the anthem my friends and I would sing when I was in treatment. I wrote it when I was there, and we would just sing it all the time. It’s one of my favorite songs to sing because of the lyrics. ‘I can’t hurt if I’m in a dream’ is one of my favorite lines because it captures the feeling of needing an escape.” — carolesdaughter.
