Rising Belgian singer-songwriter WAYI has released a smooth jazz-oriented single titled “Insecure”, a beautifully sung song with soulful vibes from start to finish. The track which was produced by James Lowland, finds the 25 year-old artist exposing her feelings in a vulnerable manner as she sings about the lack of trust and loyalty in a relationship. A topic many listeners can relate to — unfortunately. Let’s blame all these online dating apps maybe?
“Did you ever fall for someone who can’t help dating different people at the same time? I did but not for long! Trust me, it feels like shit, especially when you’re jealous. Not to mention it also feeds unnecessary insecurities, affecting your self-love along the way. I need someone who’s 100% into me, no more, no less” — WAYI says.
Despite launching her career last year with the acclaimed singles “The Way I Am” and “Temporary”, she has already received positive reviews from the likes of Elton John, Refinery29, DJ Booth, Highsnobiety, Red Bull Elektropedia and many more.
Blessed with an alluring vocal ability, sincere lyrics and an ear for a quality and captivating production, WAYI is an artist to watch for many years to come. She will be releasing her debut EP Love In Progress on 27th March on all major streaming platforms.
