Based in sunny Los Angeles, andreas owens is the solo project of producer and multi-instrumentalist Andres Owens, the lead vocalist of indie pop and R&B band The Millennial Club. He’s just unveiled his new single “falling & falling”, an indie pop track with sprinkles of R&B. It’s a beautifully written track where owes sings over a vibrant production with a summer vibe— the song takes a look at society’s addiction to social media and the internet. An important topic that many listeners will be able to relate to.
“The concept behind ‘falling & falling’ alludes to our collective (and my own) societal addiction to our phones. I remember having a conversation with my friends about how we all kinda want to be on our phones less, but still sadly just find ourselves ‘crawling back’ to them every single day. I think we’ve all had similar thoughts, wondering, ‘omfg how is it possible that I’ve been scrolling through TikTok and Instagram for two hours?’” — andreas owens.
