Moroccan-Canadian singer-songwriter and producer Anaimane unveils debut single “Uninvited”.
Born and raised in Casablanca, Morocco, Anaimane studied music theory and classical piano for five years before emigrating to Canada with her musical family when she was 13 years-old. After singing at the the annual Miss Afrique Montréal pageant, her ambition to become a professional musician began to shape when she was approached backstage by CBC music journalist Duke Eatmon.
She began songwriting and working with notable Québec musicians such as the Grammy Award-winning engineer Steve Pageot, before expanding to collaborate with U.S. producers. Her debut single “Uninvited” is an energetic song that infuses both Pop and Rock sonics well with hints of R&B throughout. Anaimane shows promise as she delivers an excellent vocal performance, as well as showcasing her songwriting abilities.
