After spending the past few years releasing countless of underground singles on SoundCloud, London-based artist ALI3NHEAD recently released his debut EP A3 two months after signing a record deal with independent record label MOVES Recordings.
ALI3NHEAD is not your typical rapper, the young man formerly known as Manny Fuego is a genre-bending wordsmith with a penchant for mesmeric rap-sung flow over hard hitting mosh-pit ready productions capable of causing a riot within a minute.
Although he’s known for his energetic performances, on his EP he proves he has a bright future as he showcases his ability as not only a rapper but an overall artist. The MG-produced project opens up with “Ocean Drive” — a nice little warm up for fans. The following track “Crystal Lake” is the highlight of the EP, ALI3NHEAD’s vocals float beautifully over the melancholic Nirvana-meets-Travi$ Scott production. The mosh-pit anthems “Fragrance” and “Eyz” are both perfect for live shows and balance the EP well with their energy, as “Midas” closes the project.
