7th Obi releases new single “the alchemist”
With “the alchemist”, a psychedelic trap song about sacrificing the present for the past, emerging artist 7th Obi follows up recent releases “8”, “SELFISH”, and “JORDAN YEAR”.
As we have come to expect, Obi mulls over the thought of bringing up his request to an alchemist and asking what he would have to give up in order to return to memories of a former love. The 808s & Heartbreak-inspired track is built over a menacing synth bass and aggressive trap drums produced by Paris-based producer Thoms PN, which leaves room for the Irish-Nigerian artist to display genuine vulnerability.
